High-quality corner sofas from trusted names
Finding a reputable manufacturer of corner sofas is few and far between. That’s why Hunter Furnishing only has a select few names we can vouch for when shopping for a corner sofa.
Some of our preferred brands we recommend to customers include Collins & Hayes, Duresta, ercol, & ROM. Some brands will offer corner sofas in set sizes, while others will want to make a custom sofa based on exact measurements. For example, a best-seller like the ROM Bellona is made to measure in 20cm increments.
Finding the ideal corner sofa for your home
A corner sofa brings with it a few considerations you don’t want to gloss over. When buying a corner sofa, especially if it is your first time, you’ll want to think about:
Your Facing Hand
You may have noticed some of the corner sofas are listed as LHF and RHF. This stands for Left Hand Facing and Right Hand Facing. Whichever side the longest will be the “hand” your sofa leans towards. It is usually obvious if your longest side has an arm, but when it doesn’t, it still helps to know.
And if your sofa goes the same length both ways, that’s an equal corner sofa.
Chaise or No Chaise
While corner sofas will give a room some luxury, ask yourself if you want to take that one step further and opt for one end (usually the shorter side) to have a chaise attached.
Fabric or Leather
The biggest debate you should have about any sofa, aside from the colour, should be whether you want it to be fabric or leather. Most of our corner sofas are fabric, but there are some great leather options like the Rom Premium Davis Corner, which just so happens to have a power recliner built-in.
Size
People tend to think of corner sofas as typically bigger sofas to have, but that isn’t always the case. When pushed for space, you can adopt modular options to create smaller corner sofas. You’ll see some products listed as a small unit for this purpose.
When you want a corner statement but don’t have space
If you’ve measured every possible angle and can’t see a corner sofa making its way to your home, there are other options you can make use of. Many customers tight on space will opt for occasional chairs with personality or swivel chairs that help liven a room.
